6 Signs It’s Time to Change Your Life

Have you ever had a wake up call? The kind when you realize something needs to change in your life – immediately before you lose your health, your relationship, your job, or even your life.

If you aren’t sure – I’ve got six things for you today that are all red flags. And if you are living with any of these six, let this be your wake up call, be your drive to do something different, take your life back starting today.

#1 You are in pain all the time

Living with chronic pain is terrible. There is a way out. Most people don’t know how good they’re actually meant to feel, and that feeling good is a real possibility. So if you hurt all the time, it’s time to find a way out.

Pain ranges in intensity and there are sources. Are you recovering from injury or surgery that is slow to heal? Constant pain could come from sitting at your desk and computer all day and maybe you don’t know the way to get your neck, upper back, shoulders, and your low back out of pain. This isn’t going to go away on it’s own. Something needs to change.

If you’re hurting because you’re dealing with low energy every single day, and it feels like there’s nothing you can do to improve it – that is also a form of living in pain.

Lastly, you could be hurting because you’re out of shape, unable to keep up with the pace of life around you; your kids, your spouse, your friends are always wanting to do things that require fitness and you aren’t there yet. Enough spending you life on the sidelines. It’s time to change your current status.

#2 It takes every ounce of energy you have to barely make it through your day

You are not thriving, you don’t feel good when you’re at work or when you come home from work. There is nothing left in the tank for anyone else, let alone yourself. If this describes you – it’s time for a change.

#3 Everyday feels like groundhog day

When you start looking at your life with apathy. When there’s no real excitement anymore, no motivation to change, to grow, to contribute, it is time for a change. Huge wake up call here.

#4 Your relationships and friendships are suffering because of your lifestyle

It could be your marriage or your partner, it could be your friendships that are suffering. When you no longer have the same connection with the people that you once did (and if these people are still important to you) save those relationships.

#5 if you’re giving all to your job with very little return

A lot of people are really excited about their jobs, they love working ( I do!) and they love giving it their all, but that’s because of how much they are getting from that as well.

I’ve been in a situations in the past, where I’m giving and giving but I’m not feeling that return on investment. Take a look at your own current situation with your job or career: are you giving everything you have with very little return? Are you worried still that you might be laid off or demoted? Are you working tirelessly toward a promotion that it is looking like you will not get? When you consider this, is it time for a change in terms of how much you’re investing in your career, your job versus yourself?

#6 You have become known for your negativity

You know those people, right? The people that, any time you talk to them, they’re complaining, they’re gossiping, they are never talking about anything joyful. If you have become the person in your life that is known for negativity, the person that sucks all the life out of a room, think hard about what this could mean for your life if you continue this way.

It takes a lot to recognize when that person is you, but as you hear this described today, consider the interactions you have with people and the situations and conversations that you’re having: Are you infusing light and joy and positivity into the situation, or are you the person stomping that out?

Because if that is you, it’s time for a change.

Right before a big massive change in life comes that wake up call, and if you’re living with any of these six scenarios, you’ve had your wake up call today.
